Rebellious Game C6.1

Hey, first of all, thanks for reading my lousy Machine Translation. To be honest, I’d really like it if you guys corrected the mistakes I made. But please speak nicely and politely. My heart is not strong enough to read your too-harsh comments. Have a nice day. 🙂

Chp6. part1

It’s no wonder the customer misunderstood. At this moment, Wang Ze’s face was deathly pale, his eyes lifeless, and he had a habit of biting people, both his appearance and behaviour resembled a zombie.

“No, no, he just has a strange illness.” The manager, though unaware of the situation, tried to smooth things over.

As he spoke, he waved to the security guards, signalling them to take Wang Ze away.

“Don’t come any closer!!” Wang Ze looked very nervous, constantly backing away.

Just then, a waiter passed by carrying a tray of drinks and several glasses of water.

Wang Ze saw him and started shouting incoherently again.

The customer was frantic. “How could you hire someone like that as an employee?! He just bit me, will I catch something?!”

Zhao Zechen noticed and said thoughtfully, “He’s afraid of water and light… could he have rabies?”

The manager and the customer looked over in shock.

Zhao Zechen explained that Wang Ze had been bitten by a stray cat, adding, “He’s insisting that you don’t need a shot after a cat bite. I suspect he didn’t even get one.”

The customer was slightly relieved. At least it wasn’t a real zombie.

But then a pang of unease washed over her. “He’s a rabies carrier. If he bites me, is it the same as being bitten by a stray dog? Do I need to get vaccinated too…?”

Her tone was so pitiful that even the manager didn’t know how to comfort him.

But he couldn’t comfort the customer; he could take his anger out on his staff. He glared at Zhao Zechen and scolded, “Such a big thing happened, why didn’t you tell me?”

Zhao Zechen was stunned. He instinctively explained, “The purchasing manager knew too. She even told Wang Ze to get vaccinated, and Wang Ze agreed readily. How was we supposed to know he was lying and didn’t go at all?”

If he hadn’t also been scratched by a cat and been worried about his own safety, he wouldn’t have recognised what was wrong with Wang Ze right now.

The purchasing manager knew, too? Great, another scapegoat.

The manager glanced at Tong Jia, his tone deep, “I’ll settle accounts with you later.”

Tong Jia ignored him.

She watched Wang Ze struggle desperately, being held down by security guards, even turning to bite them to force them to let go. But in her mind, something else was boiling- her intuition was right, Wang Ze was indeed very dangerous.

Not far away, because Wang Ze was frantically biting and scratching people, the security guards were hesitant, several of them surrounded him, but they couldn’t hold him down.

At the critical moment, Yun Xin found a pair of leather gloves, put them on, and then pounced unexpectedly. She pressed one hand against Wang Ze’s back and the other against his head, slamming him to the ground.

“Quick, quick, get a rope and tie him up! And gag him!!” the manager commanded.

Wang Ze tried to struggle, but Yun Xin was like a small mountain pressing down on him. She pressed her hand to his forehead, unable to make him turn his head.

Out of the corner of his eye, the manager saw the customer’s lips move, quick-witted as ever he shouted first, “Has the ambulance arrived? Where’s the doctor? Someone here urgently needs treatment!”

The customer moved his lips, but ultimately said nothing.

In short, after all the commotion, the disturbance finally subsided.

When the ambulance arrived, the manager personally got in and escorted the customer to the hospital. Meanwhile, the injured security guard, along with Wang Ze, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Zhao Zechen, still shaken, said, “Two thousand yuan for the vaccine is indeed a bit pricey. But two thousand yuan to save a life is not expensive at all!”

Wang Ze was taken to the hospital and soon diagnosed with rabies.

The customer and the security guard received rabies immunoglobulin and rabies vaccine.

The manager busied himself, pleading with them, and finally managed to calm the customer down temporarily.

Back at the hotel, the matter wasn’t over yet. He called Tong Jia and Zhao Zechen over to confront them.

Zhao Zechen protested, “He readily agreed, but he didn’t actually go to the hospital for his injection on time. You can’t blame us for that, can you? Were we supposed to drag him to the hospital, accompany him, and watch them inject the immunoglobulin and rabies vaccine into his body?”

If the boss wants to find fault, they can always find something.

The manager glared at him, “If you can’t accompany him to the hospital, what about afterwards? If you noticed something was wrong with him, didn’t you report it to me immediately? Did you have to wait until he caused trouble before you spoke up?”

Zhao Zechen inwardly groaned.

Ever since he was scratched by the cat, their relationship hadn’t been good. He didn’t like to talk to Wang Ze, making it difficult for him to notice anything amiss immediately.

Later, they bumped into each other, and Wang Ze said he had a headache and a low-grade fever. Zhao Zechen believed him without giving it much thought.

Now, being questioned, Zhao Zechen’s first thought was- “Serves you right for being so talkative! If I hadn’t said anything, it wouldn’t have been my fault, right?!” Now, not only am I in trouble, but I’ve dragged the purchasing manager into it too.

Actually, they were both innocent!

In fact, Zhao Zechen tried to reason with his boss, but the boss wouldn’t listen, he just wanted to find someone to take responsibility.

The manager looked at Tong Jia sternly and asked, “Now that things have turned out this way, what do you plan to do?”

Tong Jia glanced at Zhao Zechen, he was extremely anxious, his bright eyes revealing a clear sense of foolishness.

She glanced at the manager, his face was expressionless, but his heart was probably completely black with rage.

Tong Jia stared at the ceiling, her voice devoid of emotion. “After the incident, I immediately checked the surveillance footage. I found that Wang Ze usually lived in the employee dormitory and had no family in the area. So, after getting sick, he neither asked for leave nor went home, he just stayed in the hotel.”

“On the day of the incident, he was working in the lobby when he saw sunlight streaming through the window. Without saying a word to anyone, he went over and quietly drew the curtains. Later, when a customer tried to open them, he even argued with the customer in public, refusing to budge.”

“Manager, isn’t our usual training a bit off? This employee really treats the company like home.”

The manager, “???”

He looked at Tong Jia in shock, as if asking, “How did you come to such a bizarre conclusion?”

He was the one who trained the new employees when they first joined the company. With this label pinned on him, he felt a responsibility he couldn’t entirely shirk.

Tong Jia smiled slightly.

Her eyes seemed to say, Come on, let’s shift the blame! At worst, we’ll all sink together!

She said, “Manager, I don’t think Wang Ze is a good person. I told him to get vaccinated, he agreed to my face, but didn’t do it behind my back. You can’t teach someone like that no matter how much effort you put in. Why don’t we just say so when the boss asks?”

The manager stared at Tong Jia for a long time before finally saying, “I think it’s fine.”

Zhao Zechen thought he was definitely going to get his pay docked this time. Unexpectedly, after a brief exchange between the manager and the purchasing manager, the matter was resolved smoothly.

He looked at the purchasing manager, his eyes unconsciously filled with a mixture of shock and admiration.

Tong Jia thought to herself, “This is nothing. If you’ve been in the workplace for a while, and you’re not the type to be submissive and willing to suffer losses, you’ll learn a lot of strange and unusual negotiation skills.”
