Hey, first of all, thanks for reading my lousy Machine Translation. To be honest, I’d really like it if you guys corrected the mistakes I made. But please speak nicely and politely. My heart is not strong enough to read your too-harsh comments. Have a nice day. 🙂

The loud announcement echoed throughout the hotel.
Whether dining in the restaurant or resting in their rooms, all the guests were shocked.
“A bomb in the hotel? Is it a terrorist attack?”
“My God! I’ve never even seen a real gun in my life. And here I am, staying in a hotel, so close to a bomb!”
“Is it a drill? Or is there really a bomb?”
“Stop talking nonsense, run!!”
The hotel was in chaos.
Some people ran out halfway through their meals.
Some people were taking a shower when they heard the announcement, quickly dried off, then hurriedly put on their pajamas, wrapped themselves in a blanket, and ran out.
Others opened their room doors, grabbed a nearby hotel staff member, and asked while yawning, “What’s going on? It’s so noisy outside, I thought the Empire had revived and organized an army to attack.”
Of course, he was joking.
Originally, many countries existed in the world, but then war broke out. One fought another, the victors continued fighting, the vanquished were absorbed by others, and eventually only the final victor- the Federation- remained.
Although terrorist attacks occasionally occurred within the Federation, he had only ever seen such things in the news and had never experienced them himself. Therefore, he assumed the hotel was conducting a realistic drill and wondered why they hadn’t given him a day’s notice.
“It’s real! We received a call from the police and are arranging for guests to evacuate immediately.” With that, the staff member flicked his wrist, freeing himself. “Please leave as soon as possible.”
Before the customer could react, the staff member knocked on each room door.
At the same time, someone holding a large megaphone repeatedly broadcasts at a volume louder than a public address system, “There is a bomb inside the hotel and it may explode at any time. Please evacuate immediately. This is not a drill!!”
“Holy crap!” The customer was stunned. Forgetting he was only wearing shorts, he fled down the stairs without thinking.
When he got there, he saw many people running down the stairs. He quickly followed the crowd and fled.
His legs were running, but his mind was still racing. “Isn’t our country gun-free? Ordinary people can’t even get their hands on a gun, so where did the bomb come from?”
A guy next to him chimed in, “Maybe it’s a homemade bomb.”
That made perfect sense, leaving the customer speechless.
The guy next to him, who looked thin, ran fast and effortlessly, still having the energy to talk to him, “If you can’t imagine it, don’t imagine it! Just run for your life! The police will investigate and find out the truth when they get here.”
The customer thought about it and agreed, keeping quiet.
Three minutes passed.
The group successfully reached an open space.
They were panting heavily, a sense of relief washing over them- they were safe.
“Manager, besides the announcements, staff on every floor are using megaphones to knock on doors and notify everyone,” the receptionist reported. “Some room doors are unopenable, the guests might have left and aren’t in their rooms.”
“Now that everyone has been notified,” the manager said quickly, “staff, begin evacuation!”
He led the way, running outside.
More and more people gathered in the open space.
They huddled together in small groups, sharing their relief at surviving the ordeal.
Yun Xin’s gaze swept back and forth, searching for a familiar figure in the crowd.
Soon, she heard a familiar voice in the distance.
“That was terrifying! The boss is stingy, cutting corners, and now someone’s even planted a bomb in the hotel! What grudge could they have?”
“Luckily we ran fast…”
“No, it should be said, luckily the boss is away on a business trip. What if he had stayed at the hotel, received a call from the police, and his first reaction was to order all the employees to stay and protect his property with their lives?”
The others looked on with expressions of utter disbelief. But then again, it seemed the boss actually could do something like that.
So they all felt relieved, “Thank goodness he’s not here, and neither is our Master…”
Yun Xin stopped and looked into the distance. Once she confirmed the apprentices were safe and sound, all had escaped unharmed, she smiled with relief, didn’t say anything, and turned to walk back.
Her consistent principle was to reach out to those who needed and deserved help. Whether or not they accepted the help was their choice.
But there were always some people who made her want to reach out a second, even a third time.
Eight minutes after calling the police, Tong Jia hadn’t calmed down. After all, making a false police report was something she, a law-abiding citizen, had never done before.
Noticing Yun Xin’s return, she said softly, “I’ve been thinking about it, and I think I might have been set up.”
“Surviving a traffic accident by sheer luck, brushing with death, gaining a sixth sense.”
“Wang Ze being bitten by a stray cat, confirming the sixth sense.”
“Everything seems like a setup. Just to force me to step forward and stop it by any means necessary when I sensed something was about to happen at the hotel.”
Yun Xin said softly, “You could have chosen not to do it, but you did anyway.”
“Yeah, this damn conscience.” Tong Jia laughed self-deprecatingly, “Before this, I didn’t even know I was such a conscientious person.”
During their conversation, police sirens blared.
A moment later, the police car stopped, and the officers got out.
“What’s done is done, there’s no going back.”
Tong Jia took a deep breath, raised her hands, and walked over with a tragic air, confessing, “Officer, I made a false report! I’m guilty, I surrender, I admit my mistake!!”
The police were stunned. Reacting swiftly, he pointed his gun and shouted, “Stop! Crouch down! Hands over your head!”
Tong Jia immediately complied.
The onlookers, who had barely escaped, stood in the open space some distance away, looking bewildered upon hearing this confession. “??? What’s going on?”
A policewoman, confirming that Tong Jia was not carrying any weapons or bombs, deftly handcuffed her.
The captain asked, “What happened?”
The policewoman was equally puzzled. “She said she only made a false report.”
But the whole incident had an inexplicable strangeness.
For example—
Why would this person deliberately make a false report?
Why did she use her own phone to make the call, without any attempt to conceal her identity?
Why didn’t she run away upon seeing the police, but instead proactively approached and surrendered?
Before they could figure it out, a loud “boom” resounded, and the six-story New World Hotel began to collapse.
Tong Jia was startled by the sound, her heart pounding with fear. She stubbornly insisted on being brave, inwardly grumbling- it’s nothing, it looks like a collapsed block castle. Just bigger, more dust, and louder…
But eventually, she trembled so much she could no longer keep up the act and finally admitted, “It was truly terrifying.”
